A homeless man has a truly heartbreaking story – he has been sleeping in a graveyard for 13 years.

The man started living in a crypt in the cemetery when he found himself broke and his family turned him away.

47-year-old Fabio Beraldo Rigol, of Santa Isabel, Brazil, explains that he has nowhere to go. He used to have a home and a business but he first became bankrupt, then took up drugs.

He was shunned and disowned and ended up at his deceased best friend's crypt, the Mirror reported. He explains that he prefers not being around people and the silence doesn't bother him.

Rigol begs for money and food during the day and returns to the cemetery at night. Even though he is penniless now, he is still hoping to one day have a house of his own and a job.
