Everyone was shocked and amazed at the end of season three of “Homeland” when Brody, one of the main characters in the spy thriller series, is killed. It left many wondering exactly where the show would be heading after this massive loss.

Showtime president David Nevins has addressed this issue and revealed some details from the upcoming season four. His first words were that “Homeland” was now going to be “reset.”

“It's going to be different next year and you're going to see a different Carrie story next season,” he told reporters during the TCA Winter press tour, “The likely plan for next season is that we'll see her on the ground in a foreign capital doing her job.”

He also added that Saul, who is no longer working for the CIA, would be equally important, “I expect that he will be central, he will be important.”

“Homeland,” one of the most viewed and critically acclaimed political dramas on Showtime, will therefore see major changes for its fourth season. It remains to be seen if fans are going to appreciate the new change of perspective and the shifting of characters.
