They are thinking about us?

The people over at the Mountain View based company are probably undecided whether to release the theme for iGoogle or just tease us with it. Brinke Guthrie found this morning that he was able to see a new holiday theme, but since that moment he has found it to be missing again. Sort of "now you see it, now you don't" played with the user's holiday feelings and emotions.

If you find that to be too far off a comparison, picture the people that spend all day in front of their computers, who have very little time to go and see the way it's snowing and build a snowman or none at all. Think of the people that get home from eight or more hours of working on a PC and open their laptops and surf the web, because they are too tired to do anything else. A theme wouldn't bring the feeling of holidays, no, but it would nurture it until better days. It's not much, but it's that little thing that stops computer geeks from going berserk and start killing co-workers and family members with chainsaws and shotguns. Was I thinking in writing again? Happens a lot lately?

The theme, as seen on the left, shows a snow covered village painted in lots of pastel colors? so peaceful, there's a reindeer in one corner and two rabbits in another, guarding a snowman. Not to mention the Aurora Borealis that's in the background.

A couple of days ago, I specifically criticized Google for failing to come up with a holiday theme this year and presenting us instead with the same green spring one that had replaced the prior. With this one only released for brief moments, I'm not sure whether I should be apologizing or not. I'll wait for it.
