It seems that he's the only dictator banned, though

It looks like the time has come for different names that are considered offensive to be banned from the online universe. The spring-summer cleaning spree has been started by Microsoft who banned the gamertag theGAYERgamer, as reported a few days ago and Nintendo is the one who follows with less sexual bans. Actually, they're aiming at fearsome Miis (if you can imagine something like that) who resemble and have dictators' names.

The first one that got banned was the world renowned Hitler. "You cannot access Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection using this Mii name. Please change your Mii name and try again" is the message you receive if trying to bring your Mii dictator to the rather peaceful Mario Kart Wii. The funny thing is that, however, Hitler is, apparently, the only dictator banned. Nintendowiifanboy.com reports having tested the game with Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, and several other dictator names and it was OK to play.

So, what does this mean? Does it mean that the Nintendo Wii just got something that could be called a total fluke? It probably does - Mario, the Italian plumber probably hates "ze Germans" just because and there are no other actual reasons for the ban. At least, this is how it appears, having in mind that other names are OK. Not to mention the fact that the "htlr, Wiitler, Miitler" and so on still can't be banned and it would probably take forever to ban all the pseudo-dictator names people would find just to play Mario Kart Wii as they see fit.

And as long as we are not talking about a war game or something that could get personal, for God's sake, it would probably be better if Nintendo tried to do something against the more sexual-themed Mii names instead of hunting Hitler down.
