The photo shoot entitled “Our Generation” features a hilarious group of older people dressed in hipster-like clothes that today's youngsters can't seem to get enough of. The portraits of “gangsta grandparents” were inspired by the '60s’ teenagers and wanted to show what today's teens will look like when they get a bit older.

The photographer, Linda Dajana Kruger, recruited her models from a German retirement home and transformed them in hip oldies with clothes and accessories from her friends and family. The seniors are pictured wearing nerd glasses, sports T-shirts and sweatshirts, jeans jackets, beanies and snap-back caps matched with oversized accessories and gadgets.

Like any true hipster, the models could not pose without electronics, Macbooks, iPhones or iPads and of course without the almighty skateboard. Instead of the classic pearls, they wear big flashy gold chains and their clothing features all kinds of messages and iconic figures like Ice Cube and Mickey Mouse.

To truly get into their character, the models posed while taking selfies with an iPhone or showing the peace sign. The photo shoot with the coolest grandparents ever gives an interesting peak into the future, and shows that even if the models go past 70 years, they can still be cool and pull it off like the ultimate hipsters.

The seniors “really enjoyed the photo-shoot process and were most excited about being pictured with an iPhone for the first time in their lives,” Kruger told XXIV Magazine. The photographer got the idea after looking at some of her aunt's photos and tried to imagine how Generation Y would look in a few decades.

The result of the “My Generation” photo shoot is quite hilarious and the hip-photo series is a certain success. You can't get a more hipster authentic look than a white T-shirt with marijuana leaves, a worn-out jeans jacket, some big gold chains, a Rolex, a snapback cap, a fully-sticker-ed skateboard and grandpa glasses.
