Just hours ago, rap mogul Suge Knight was arrested in Los Angeles, after cops noticed his truck was waving dangerously between lanes. An outstanding warrant in his name was uncovered and he was taken downtown.

CNN reports that the mogul, who has a long history of run-ins with the law, was booked on a “misdemeanor traffic violation and an outstanding warrant.”

“The arrest occurred about 12:30 a.m., and the rap music mogul was taken to the Los Angeles County Jail, where he was held on $20,000 [€15,019] bail, said Officer Cleon Joseph, who did not have details about the warrant or the violation,” the report notes.

TMZ writes that the music mogul was released hours later, after he made bail. At the time of writing, he didn’t comment in any way on his most recent arrest.

Suge Knight has a very “impressive” track record when it comes to being arrested.

He even spent a few years in prison serving a sentence for parole violation on assault and weapons charges.

However, in recent years, most of his problems seem to stem from driving charges, CNN notes.

“In February 2012, Las Vegas police stopped Knight, who was driving a black Bentley, and said they found less than an ounce of marijuana in the vehicle. He was ticketed for making an unsafe lane change,” the report says.

“In December 2010, Knight was arrested at a suburban Los Angeles outdoor shopping mall for failing to appear in court on a traffic violation. At the time, the co-founder of Death Row Records had a warrant issued for failure to appear in court,” adds the same media outlet.

Suge Knight founded the Death Row Records label which went bankrupt in 2006. He might not be as successful as he once was, but he remains among those select few who changed the face of hip hop.
