Parody videos for Apple’s latest iPad and iPhone ads have emerged on YouTube, mocking the company’s marketing slogans while keeping the original graphics.

Apple goes to great lengths to make it clear that its products not only work better, but look better than anything out there.

While mostly true, these aspects combine to give the company a smug appearance, hence the never ending parodies.

The latest ones mock the ‘If You Asked’ iPad ad, and the iPhone ad titled ‘If You Dont Have iPhone’.

Personally, I found the second ‘If You Dont Have iPhone’ parody ad particularly hilarious.

It simply states “if you don’t have an iPhone, you don’t have an iPhone,” followed by frantic laughter suggesting that those who don’t have one are complete losers.

In fact, the voiceover cannot stress this enough in the first version, which features more talking, and a bit of profanity too.

A transcript of the iPad parody ad (also featuring some rough language) can be found below.

If you asked a parent, they might call it expensive. If you ask a musician, they might call it not-a-guitar. To a doctor it’s one more reason to inflate the billing. To a CEO it’s a desk toy. To a teacher, it’s one more educating tool her district will never be able to afford. If you ask a child, they’ll just giggle and spill s*** all over it. But if you ask us, it sure is pretty.

No doubt Apple haters will step up to claim all this is true, though such parodies rarely tell the whole story about an Apple product or service.

For example, the iPad is a great tool for education, as it is for business (email, calendar, various analysis and data managing apps etc.), as it is for aspiring musicians (Apple never said you could build a career on it).

It is, however, also true that it can become a 'desktop toy' to a CEO that still lives in the PC era, and it can get clogged with milk and cookies through the speaker grill if you let it unsupervised in your three-year-old’s room.

Either way, who can resist telling the other side of the story when Apple posts marketing materials that are simply ‘too perfect’?
