Students pranks are always funny, especially when they are played on their teachers, and the gag pulled by final year students at a Santa Barbara, California school is really hilarious and clever.

Senior students at Santa Barbara High School wanted to leave their mark on the school after graduating, so they decided to do it in style: they hired a mariachi band to follow their principal around all day while blasting out their catchy rhythms.

The prank kicked off at 7:30 in the morning, when principal John Becchio walked into his office. Three musicians serenade him on the spot and then stalked him all day continually playing tunes on their instruments.

While some might consider the scheme quite annoying, this teacher seems to have taken the stunt lightly, as a harmless bit of fun.

Here is an undeniable truth about mariachi bands – once you pay them, they will NOT leave. This form of music has become a real urban phenomenon that came to represent Mexico in the 20th century, and musicians use violins, trumpets and at least one guitar to delight listeners.

The Daily Mirror says that nowadays senior pranks are a regular occurrence in America, and some schools even sanction official days to carry out the gags.
