The development team at Blizzard is ready to reveal the five heroes taken from the action role-playing game Diablo 3 and then included in the upcoming Heroes of the Storm when it is finally ready to launch in beta state.

The Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title will allow gamers to choose from the Barbarian, the Demon Hunter, the Witch Doctor, Tyrael and Diablo himself.

Each of the five characters will have different powers, abilities and types of play and the development team working on Heroes of the Storm is not yet ready to offer details on any of them.

The official announcement only states, “Are you eager to wield the might of the fabled Sword of Justice, El'druin? Or perhaps you crave the feel of sowing fear into the hearts of your enemies as the Lord of Terror? Whether you wish to wield a sword, crossbow, mojo, or your bare claws, some of Sanctuary's finest will be available to take the fight to all who would oppose you in the Nexus!”

The team is also eager to evaluate the level of excitement that the potential player base for Heroes of the Storm has for each of the five characters, probably in order to plan for the way in which it will reveal their MOBA abilities and skills.

The selection will certainly anger some Diablo 3 fans who will petition the company to add the rest of the character classes, which could happen after the game is out using a rotation model.

The Diablo 3-themed heroes represent just a small part of the roster for the coming MOBA experience, which will also use character drawn from other Blizzard created titles, including World of Warcraft and Starcraft, with official reveals coming soon.

Heroes of the Storm does not yet have an official launch date and, when it is out, it will have to offer a very solid set of gameplay mechanics in order to compete with League of Legends from Riot Games and DOTA 2 from Valve.

Blizzard is at the moment ready to deliver the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo 3, which is set to be offered on March 25.

It will give players a chance to play as the new Crusader class, designed to be able to combat undead enemies, while also exploring a number of innovative quests, an entirely new town and battling powerful enemies.

Until March 24 the game is offering a 50 percent XP bonus on the PC and Mac.
