HeroCraft, the leading Russian game developer, announced it's ready to release lots of its games for Google's new Android platform. There will be at least ten titles to be compatible with Android handsets in early 2009. The first game that will get a release is Stolen In 60 Seconds, the popular title awarded by Samsung back in 2007.

Another game that will surely make it to the Android platform is Postal Babes, a title that hardcore gamers should be familiar with from its desktop PC version.

Talking about the first Herocraft “made for Android” game, Alexey Sazonov, Sales Director of the Russian company, declared, “Stolen In 60 Seconds provides an innovative new gaming experience to its players, the uniqueness of the title was a key factor in its Samsung Game Development Gold Award. We believe that truly innovative games belong on a truly innovative operating system, which is why we intend to work closely with the new Android-based phones throughout 2009”.

Users who want to read a review of Stolen In 60 Seconds can do it here. It's only the Windows Mobile version of the game that got to be reviewed, of course, but the Android one will probably be highly similar to it, so you can surely get a clear picture of what the iteration of Stolen in 60 Seconds can offer.

Founded back in 2001, HeroCraft is based in Kalinigrad, Russia, and currently offers a wide range of mobile games, including: Revival (reviewed by Softpedia here), Robo (reviewed here), Dragon and Dracula 3D, Bird Flu, Crimsonland, Mummy and the Beauty, Rise of Antares, Sweet Invaders and so on. Most of these will probably have Android versions, which can only mean good news for gamers interested in buying themselves a handset powered by Google's mobile platform.

HeroCraft started porting games to Android since last year, and it even released a demo video with Black Shark 2 – Siberia for Android. Here it is:
