The T-800 looks to have gotten old over the years

The internet is always the source for exclusive material when it comes to leaks, as proven time and again in the past few years. Today, we have a leak from what is possibly the most anticipated “Terminator” project since the franchise started in the ‘80s, a photo of an aging Arnold Schwarzenegger as the formidable T-800.

The photo comes from The Arnold Fans and it was supposed to be taken by a group of German tourists when they visited the Paramount Studios recently. They say it was a poster on a wall “in a dark corner of the studio.”

The photo shows a visibly aged T-800, with wrinkles and a receding hairline, bearing a huge scar on the side of his face, basically a hole since there is a big piece of flesh missing there. Your first question is definitely going to be why the robot got older.

Well, Arnie had a good explanation for that, saying that the skeleton of the robot might be a machine, but the flesh over it was real human flesh and that, as a result, it aged “maybe not as fast, but it definitely ages.”

Schwarzenegger's involvement in the movie hasn't been clear up to this point, but it was rumored that he was going to be some sort of mentor to Sarah Connor played by Emilia Clarke this time around. “Terminator: Genisys” is billed to open in theaters on July 1, 2015.
