The Super Bowl has just been decided and that means that there's a whole new season for the NFL fans to be looking forward to and that a special subset of fans, those who focus on virtual as well as real world football experience, is also looking forward to any information they can find on Madden NFL 12.

And EA Sports, the division in charge of Madden at Electronic Arts, is happy to oblige and talk to them about the new game, although the company did not offer any actual concrete details about how the new game will play and look.

Ian Cummings, who is the creative director working on Madden NFL 12, says in an official blog that the new concept for the game is “True to the Game.”

He adds that it means the team will put more “focus into all areas in the game, like offline franchise mode, online play, presentation, and the core fundamentals of gameplay and AI - the things that made Madden the must-have game for millions.”

The creative director also announced more coordination between Madden NFL and NCAA Football development teams, with Cam Weber taking on the role of general manager coordinating both.

The developer also talked about the overall philosophy for Madden NFL 12, with the team aiming to deliver a game which is true to the real-life sport and has the potential to be kept up to date after launch, with the team responding to the requests from the player base.

Cummings also showed off a new kick mechanics, suggesting that it can be quickly tweaked to better reflect game realities.

The developers might also take a look at the predictions that the Madden series makes, with its Pittsburgh bet for the Super Bowl failing to the real world victory of the Packers.

Madden NFL 12 will probably arrive at some point during August and, like every other year, will become one of the best selling video games of the year.
