Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular sandbox shooter franchises out there, largely due to the fact that it has won over fans with its great gameplay and pretty amusing story. The latest installment, Grand Theft Auto IV has achieved massive sales, and broke quite a lot of records when it was launched in April this year for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The PC edition is set to be launched on December 2 in North America, with European fans getting their hands on it a day later. In order to compensate for the very long waiting period, Rockstar, the developer of the game, said that it would employ quite a lot of new aspects, in order to better exploit the features of the PC platform.

Among these innovations, like a new and improved multiplayer system, one particularly stands out, the Video Editor. It will allow you to make videos of your in-game actions, edit them with the use of a very well built program and share them online with the users of the Rockstar Social Club website. Up until now, no details were known, but it seems that, with the impending release of the PC version, the developers have decided to unveil new information on this feature.

First of all, you proceed to creating havoc or doing something extraordinary, then you need to press the F2 button in order to save the last 30 or 40 seconds of gameplay onto your hard drive. Then, to access the Video Editor, you need to open up your cell phone, where all your videos will appear. Tools that allow you to change the camera angle, audio and speed will be available, as well as a few quite professional ones that help you change the colors or add filters to your video.

You can also merge videos in order to create a compilation of memorable moments from the game. You can then add titles or transitions and finally upload them onto the Rockstar Social Club, where other users can watch and rate your creations.

All in all, a truly revolutionary system that will surely make up for the big waiting period that PC users had to endure. The creativity options are quite limitless and we will certainly see a lot of videos made by the GTA IV players.
