Everything in the Marvel cinematic universe was carefully planned in advance

If you’re planning on seeing Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” tonight, when it opens in theaters worldwide, it’s best to familiarize yourself with the studio’s tradition of placing Easter eggs in all of the movies they release.

Indeed, Marvel makes sure that each superhero film they put out is packed with surprises and amazing nods for fans of the comic books, and MTV went through all the trouble to put them all in the same video.

You will find it embedded below.

Besides being fun to watch, these Easter eggs prove that everything in the Marvel cinematic universe was carefully planned in advance, and there is very little left to chance.

The video includes Easter eggs from the first “Iron Man,” through to the first “Avengers” and “Thor: The Dark World.” The timing of this video is no coincidence either: even though the Guardians of the Galaxy are a group of lesser known Marvel heroes, they still have some things in common with the Avengers.

Thanos, aka the Mad Titan, is one of them. Thanos first appeared in “Avenger” and will also be making a cameo in “Guardians,” where he is played by Josh Brolin. He is also believed to appear in next year’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which will be released in May.

So, if you’re a comic book geek or just a fan of all of Marvel’s superhero flicks, here’s something that’s bound to make you go, “wow.” Enjoy!
