YouTube, the online video sharing service acquired by Google in October 2006, is now requiring the users' help to improve the features of the product. The Mountain View-based company published an interesting survey that requires the visitors to answer 4 questions and provide feedback for the YouTube employees. Number one demands you to indicate the overall satisfaction with the video service, allowing several options from extremely dissatisfied to extremely satisfied. The most important question is number three that contains several YouTube aspects that must be rated: finding videos, video image quality, product reliability, ease of use and video speed.

This survey shows us that YouTube wants more and more help coming from its users as the online video sharing service is based on the videos uploaded by the members. In the past, YouTube sustained its home generated content attracts the majority of users and boosts the number of visitors periodically. As you surely know, YouTube hosted Video Awards, an important event that was meant to honor the best homemade creations uploaded by its members.

A market research conducted a long time ago revealed that more than half of the YouTube visitors are attracted by the user generated content continuously uploaded by its members. Recently, the Google product was attacked by a huge threat coming from Viacom, the owner of MTV that sued the search giant for copyright infringement and required $1 billion in damages. Just after the Viacom removal was officially confirmed, YouTube made an interesting announcement: its number of visitors was boosted because the homemade clips lured a lot of new clients.

This kind of videos is also the main concept for the multiple upcoming video sharing service that aims to compete with YouTube and steal an important part of users. One of them, codenamed ScrewTube, is especially built to host the clips that are prohibited on YouTube and generated by its users such as pornographic or adult material.
