Hello...Newman M669 HDD Based PMP!

When I think of Newman, I think of Jerry Seinfeld. But that's just me! So, after Jerry M500 and the Elaine S200, here comes the Newman M669. Of course, none of these players exists and, this time, Newman is a Chinese DAP company, which is making important steps in the industry.

The Newman player, which is very real, has a 20GB HDD, a generous 3.6" screen and supports an impressive number of codecs.

On the outside, it sports a rough bulky design, and intuitive control options. On the audio side, it can effortlessly deal with MP3, WMA, and OGG file formats and MPEG-1, 2 and 4, on the video part. The player enables the user to view memory slideshow while listening to the favorite music. It is fully compatible with MP4, DivX Video v3.11.4x and 5x video formats and DVD/VCD. As most Chinese media players, this one sports an impressive storage capacity of 20GB, enough to store all your favorite albums.

Moreover, if you want to organize karaoke contests with friends in your living room, the system comes with an integrated Karaoke-like feature with lyrics displayed on the screen as the music plays. Sounds like a great investment.

The PMP player comes equipped with a USB On-the-Go system, which can be used to connect the player to a camera without the need of going to a PC file transfer.

Unfortunately, additional information regarding the player is available only in Chinese. Compared to an iPod nano, the $161 a pop media player sounds pretty affordable.

It comes with full video playback capability and everything you need to get full entertainment sessions. I suggest grabbing a Seinfeld DVD. The price seems to be insanely low, even for the Chinese generous market, but I heard that this is the Chinese way of getting a good position on the market. I know it sounds weird! But it works.
