14 DAY TRIAL // Heidi Montag, who rose to fame thanks to MTV’s “The Hills,” and then for undergoing no less than 10 different surgical procedures in one single day and getting a drastic makeover despite still being in her 20s, is on the verge of suicide. Friends fear for her life and are begging her to go to rehab to kick her addiction to painkillers, Now magazine claims.
This is not the first time that reports of Montag’s state of mind are circulating, as we also informed you a while back. Apparently, she made the decision to get all that plastic surgery because she literally could no longer stand to look at herself in the mirror but the makeover didn’t do much in terms of helping her cope with her poor self-esteem. Heidi is now addicted to prescription meds, her confidence continues to deteriorate and she suffers from very worrying mood swings.
“After weeks of breakdowns, Heidi Montag’s become so emotionally exhausted, she could be on the verge of ending her own life, fear worried friends. The sad star has been battling depression since undergoing more than 12 surgical procedures in two years and she’s alarmed pals by confiding: ‘The way people treat me, I may as well be dead’,” Now writes in a recent issue.
“An insider tells Now : ‘Heidi hates herself, which is why she’s got into this mess. No matter how many times she goes under the knife, it doesn’t take away from the fact she’s the same insecure person underneath. She’s doped up to her eyes on painkillers and has terrible mood swings.’ The reality star has been acting ‘out of it’ for weeks, with hubby Spencer Pratt, 26, taking control of her post-surgery painkillers: ‘Heidi’s completely addicted, which has everyone worried sick,’ adds our source. ‘She slurs her words and seems unfocused. We think it’s the painkillers. We want her to go to rehab before it’s too late’,” the tab further says.
Other worrying reports about Heidi making their way into print in recent weeks include her decision to fly to Europe to get even more plastic surgery because she’s legally barred to get bigger implants and can’t find anyone willing to operate on her anymore, being held a prisoner in her own home by husband Spencer Pratt and having a serious fallout with her mother, after she confronted her about her life.
