Heidi Montag backtracks on previous comment that Jennifer Aniston got her “banned” from film premiere

Just the other day, Heidi Montag was telling the media that Jennifer Aniston had her “banned” from the red carpet at the premiere of the comedy “Just Go With It.” In a new statement to Us Magazine, she’s backtracking on her previous interview.

As we also noted the other day, Montag, who’s making her big screen debut with a cameo in the A-list film, said that she wasn’t at the LA premiere because Aniston was somewhat “jealous” of the attention she (Heidi) would get.

Now, in another statement to the same publication, the reality star is saying she made a mistake – and she’s sorry for it. Aniston did not “ban” her from the premiere.

“I read that Jennifer had banned me from the premiere for being too polarizing, but I know now that it wasn’t true,” Montag says in her new statement.

She goes on to say that this didn’t make “sense” to her from the start – even though just hours before she was saying she was “upset” and very disappointed in Jen that she’d scoop so low as to ban her from the film premiere.

“It never really made sense to me because Jennifer is such a sweetheart and she even commented before on a red carpet about how interesting and fun it was to have me in the movie,” Montag explains.

As for why she wasn’t on the red carpet if she wasn’t banned, the reality star has now an entirely different tune to sing.

Whereas yesterday she was saying she had even made sure her schedule was free and had told producers she was available but she still got no invite, she’s now claiming she had other business to attend to.

“I got my invite and I would have loved to be there, but I had to be Los Angeles with my dogs. I was honored to be a part of such a great movie and I apologize to Jennifer and Sony for this big misunderstanding. Go see the movie this weekend! It’s fantastic!” she says.

Since Heidi is no stranger of getting publicity for made-up stories, it’s no wonder people are saying this time is no different.
