Big Brother, the famous reality show that has several contestants, virtual strangers, living in the same house and completing assigned tasks until only one is left standing, has always courted controversy for the things that go on or are said in the House. The most recent issue of Celebrity Big Brother UK repeats the same pattern, with Heidi Fleiss saying in front of the cameras how thankful she is to God for abortions, as the Huffington Post can confirm.

Fleiss is a well-known name in elite circles in showbiz, not because she is an actress or a singer, but because she was once a madam that provided only to A-listers. She was also involved with wild boy Tom Sizemore, whom she later accused of battery and repeated domestic abuse, and has a reputation that precedes her wherever she may go. Talking to Stephen Baldwin, now a born-again Christian, she said the only thing she was thankful for was abortions.

This was, in her opinion, the only thing that prevented her from becoming a bad mother. “Former Hollywood madame Heidi Fleiss courted controversy on UK’s Celebrity Big Brother Sunday night, telling Stephen Baldwin and former ‘Dynasty’ actress Stephanie Beacham how grateful she is that abortion keeps her from becoming a (bad) mother,” the Post writes of the controversy that is now tearing the UK media apart.

“I hope I never have babies. That would kill me. Every minute I’d be, ‘Is the baby OK?’ I’d worry too much,” the 44-year-old star said as the cameras were rolling, in true Big Brother fashion. “I’ve never had kids, thank God for abortion, my God. I don’t mean to offend anyone but I wouldn’t be a good mother. I shouldn’t have kids,” Fleiss went on to say.

Heidi Fleiss was arrested in 1993, when it was also revealed that her clients were only what one may call the crème de la crème. She was sentenced to 37 months in prison, of which she served only 21. However, her conviction angered many, as her clients were never pursued in a court of law: in fact, some of them have never even been named in the media. Stephen Baldwin, for instance, is believed to have been a regular at the madam’s establishments.
