Codemasters announced today that the new flight combat simulator, Heatseeker will be launched in spring 2007. The game will be available on PSP, PlayStation 2 and Wii games consoles. The games' production will be a joint venture as Codemasters teamed up with Australian studio IR Gurus, which is also responsible for the historic air combat title, Heros of the Pacific.

Flight combat simulators enthusiasts will be delighted with this news as the Heatseeker promises to reinvent missile combat and to feature great military aircrafts. A new feature present in Heatseeker is the Impact Cam which will show the results of your attack in many dynamic angles. Throughout the campaigns of the game, players will be able to experience 6G turns and will have to fight against a large number of enemies that will seems impossible to defeat. But once you play more and get more experienced defeating the enemies and completing the campaigns will not be as tough but you will still have to prove you are good enough to stay alive.

Campaigns will take place across the US, Antarctica, you will have to fly at high velocity to the Caribbean and into the Far East and at the same time you'll have to dodge enemy missiles locking on you.
