It’s not long ago that “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere ended the romance with Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, whom she’d been dating for about two years. New reports suggest she’s moved on and is now rebounding with Mark Sanchez.

Hayden and Mark were spotted out together for lunch and paparazzi have shots of them as they leave the restaurant, which has instantly sparked rumors of a new romance.

Given that the two have never been seen together in public before, and considering that Mark is also an athlete – and Hayden seems to fall for sporty guys – the conclusion can’t but be one: he’s her rebound man, Us Magazine believes.

“Less than two weeks after her announced split from boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko, Hayden Panettiere was spotted with another world-class athlete: New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez,” the publication says.

It also has the photo to prove it.

“As first posted at RumorFix.com, the Scream 4 actress, 21, was snapped outside an In-N-Out Burger in Laguna Hills, Calif. on Monday smiling and gabbing with Sanchez, 24,” Us writes, adding that insiders tell the aforementioned e-zine that there’s nothing romantic going on – just yet.

Us believes there might be, since the two were seen flirting at a party earlier this year, when Hayden was still with Wladimir.

“Still, Sanchez was spotted hitting on the Heroes alum at a star-studded pre-Oscars bash Feb. 25 at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont,” the celebrity mag argues.

“Clad in a red dress, Panettiere chatted up the footballer for a private half-hour chat; ‘the flirting was mutual,’ one witness told Us Weekly,” adds the publication.

Even if Hayden and Mark flirted at the party in February, it probably had nothing to do with her breakup from the boxer, who said in a press statement that the decision to go their separate ways had been mutual and strictly determined by factors like distance and spending too little time together.

In other words, the relationship wasn’t working anymore but no third party was involved in the breakup.
