Some say it's morbid, I say it's fun

First of all, I can understand that there are people out there freaking out as they see something that looks pretty much like a dead human's skull, but from this to saying that some plastic skull-shaped mini speakers are sick is a very-very long way. I showed these funny speakers to some friend and she was completely overtaken by the "horrid monstrosity"; skipping such behavior, I'll just tell you that these are pretty cool, almost themed speakers that could make the perfect gift.

[admark=1]Now, you don't have to be a goth kid or some sort of Dahmer to enjoy such gear: it's pretty harmless and I can actually guarantee that nothing will come out of them at night and strangle you.

These speakers sport a rather neat craftsmanship, with a lot of details like eroded teeth and cracked bones, well enough to scare the crap out of somebody if need be; even more, these human skull loudspeakers emit an eerie and almost evil blue light when powered up. Well maybe some would feel less comfortable with that light, for me it looks annoying: blue isn't that scary, maybe the classic hell red light could have been better.

These stereo skulls have an internal amplifier capable of driving 6W RMS, which is pretty OK for an office or work room. The volume control knob and power switch are on the back of one cranium, but the access is pretty easy, thanks to the small dimensions of the units. The 3.5mm stereo jack plug will let you hook up pretty much anything to these speakers, from your PC to any portable multimedia device like MP3 players, CD players and so on.

As specced by the online retailer, these skulls come with an AC adapter and can go as low as 50Hz (that's perfectly believable) and can reach to a more-than-audiophile 90kHz upper cutoff point...and that's rather unlikely. Anyway, if you feel like you could add two skulls to your home d?cor, prepare 72 bucks and have them sent your way.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
