Well-known developer and publisher Natsume has just announced that its new title in the Harvest Moon series will be available on iOS and Android platforms, in addition to PC and Nintendo Wii U.

Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories will be launched on all of the above platforms sometime this winter, though an exact release date has yet to be confirmed closer to launch.

“From the farm to the town, we wanted Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories to evoke the feeling of a classic Harvest Moon game with modern twists!

“We're also excited to finally bring the Harvest Moon series to the Nintendo Wii U, PC, and mobile platforms, where fans have definitely told us they want to see the series,” said Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume Inc.

For those unaware, this will be the first Harvest Moon title that will be available on these platforms (PC, Nintendo Wii U, Android and iOS).

According to developers, Seeds of Memories is inspired by the old-school gameplay in the first games, which will probably bring those who already played those titles a sense of nostalgia.

Revitalize a farm by cooking, fishing, foraging

In Seeds of Memories, players will be given the job of improving a farm, but in order to do that they will have to befriend the villagers in a town to unlock the titular “Seeds of Memories.”

Seeds can be unlocked in varied ways, including giving a villager their favorite item, catching a giant fish, or simply by raising their first cow.

Speaking of which, the game will feature more comebacks in the animal reign department, such as cows, sheep, and chickens, along with a horse to ride and a dog to keep as pet.

There will be another pet available to farmers, which is called bobcat. The bobcat starts out wild, but players are supposed to befriend the animal.

Seeds of Memories has lots of activities available to players, such as cooking, fishing, foraging and mining. In order to perform better in these activities, you will need to upgrade your tools or find high-quality items.

This sounds like the perfect mobile title, so Natsume made a smart move by bringing Seeds of Memories to Android and iOS.
