It's hard to believe that there are any people who haven't heard of the cult Sci-Fi movie Blade Runner. This movie was made in 1982 and featured Harrison Ford in an haute-tension, fantastic futuristic action, with a strong and solid space-age atmosphere, which have raised this production to a cult rank. Despite the rather low box office rating, Blade Runner has found its rightful place in the history of Sci-Fi movies and has inspired generations upon generations of actors and directors alike, as well as watchers, both young and less young.

Now, if you're a die-hard fan of this film and have ever dreamed of actually owning a piece of memorabilia from the Blade Runner world, this may be your lucky day, since auctioneer Profiles in History has announced that the Blade Runner blaster gun used by Ford in the movie will be on auction in a Spring sale held on April 30 and May the 1st.

The humanoid replica killer Blade Runner gun is expected to gather somewhere between $100K and $150K in this auction, especially as we're talking about a unique piece. Only one of its kind was made for Harrison Ford a.k.a Rick Deckard, and the gun is even more special as it is, indeed, a truly interesting blend between a Steyr-Mannlicher Model .222 SL receiver with custom-made amber grips that has been attached to a dual-trigger Charter Arms .44 police bulldog double-action revolver and sports 6 “futuristic” LED lights (2 green and 4 red), controlled by a switch on the lower side of the blaster.

Along with Harrison Ford's Blade Runner blaster gun, the horror/Sci-Fi collectors will also be able to bid for Dracula's ring worn by Bela Lugosi, an animation puppet used for Tim Burton's acclaimed Corpse Bride. Many more items will be available, as the auction will also feature the collection of the late horror/Sci-Fi promoter Forrest Ackerman. According to Profiles in History, a total sale of around $3 million is expected, probably hoping that collectors around the world will forget about recession and other grim topics and spend their money on these unique items.

The auction will take place in Calabasas, California, and will also be open for live online bidders around the web.
