Shuttle pumps some iron

Shuttle is a company best known around the world for its mini and barebone computer systems that are ideal for office related tasks and home use in entertainment as a media center nodal point. Well, the hardware manufacturing company wishes to show that it can do better with the launch of its latest product the Shuttle XPC Prima SP35P2 Pro platform for extreme gamers.

Even is the Shuttle XPC Prima SP35P2 Pro is designed for gamers the manufacturing company did not drop its preferred small form factor, which makes their latest product maybe the smallest gaming intended computer in the world. Based on Intel technology the new Shuttle gaming machine comes equipped with a wide range of Intel processors including Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo E6000 and E4000 Series, Pentium Dual-Core E2000 Series, Celeron 400 Series, in fact just about any Intel processor which can hit into the incorporated LGA 775 socket. To back up the Intel processors, Shuttle built their mainboards around the P35 Express / ICH9R chipset which offers support for a maximum frontside bus speed of 1333MHz.

Thanks to the Intel P35 Express chipset, the mini computer is able to handle up to 8GB DDR2of random access memory in dual channel configurations. While the memory modules come with a standard working speed of 800MHz, they can be easily overclocked in order to go as high as 1066MHz. To support such a high overclocking potential Shuttle builds its mainboard using high quality components like solid capacitors, while the "Shuttle OASIS Cooling Technology allows you to over-clock further while keeping all your main components cool, with fan-less heat-sinks dissipating all the excess heat while you enjoy a stable and silent operation", according to the company's press release concerning the launch of their latest product.

Apart from these features the Shuttle XPC Prima SP35P2 Pro computer also integrates high energy efficiency power supply units, all of them rated for 80 percent or more efficiency. An innovative USB Speed-Link technology allows Shuttle computers to be linked via USB cable without the need to install and configure a network, making the latest Shuttle gaming product a welcomed addition to any LAN party. A number of connectivity options are also offered like the Gigabit LAN card which is coupled with two eSATA and two FireWire ports as well as 8 high speed USB ports. Because the Shuttle XPC Prima SP35P2 Pro integrates advanced security features like the fingerprint recognition system, users may be certain that their sensitive data and personal files are staying secure.
