Since the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show is in full swing, it is not surprising to hear that a new e-reader has come out, this time from Hanvon, especially knowing how successful such devices were last year.

It appears that Hanvon has finished designing and finalizing the marketing plans for its newest E Ink e-book reading device.

The e-reader in question bears the name of WISEreader E920 and features an e-paper screen with a diagonal of 9.7 inches.

Said screen has a resolution of 200 dpi and is supposedly capable of generating “some of the crispest and sharpest images ever seen on an E Ink-powered device.”

In addition to all the regular capabilities of the product, Hanvon implemented the ability to translate form Chinese to English, as well as a text-to-speech function.

Additionally, for storing as many e-books as one could possibly want, a microSD card slot is available, allowing up to 32 GB of Flash storage to be added.

"Hanvon introduced the world’s first color E Ink reader, and we are continuing to innovate with our large-screen, high-res eReader," said Mr. Liu Yingjian, president of Hanvon.

"Consumers should expect clear, detailed text and images from their e-books, readable in bright light conditions, and the WISEreader E920 delivers this experience."

The company claims that the battery employed by the 9.7-inch WISEreader can last for over 10,000 page turns without needing a recharge.

Unfortunately, consumers won't exactly be able to get their hands on this particular product any time soon because the release is scheduled for June. Finally, much how not all specs were released, the price was not mentioned.

“The Hanvon WISEreader is the perfect eReader for the traveler on the go, or those that do not want to remember to recharge their e-book reader,” says the press release.

“The WISEreader has a standby battery life of 15 days, and can read more than 10,000 pages before requiring a recharge.”
