Hands-On Mobile, Inc., leading publisher and developer of connected games and applications, announced on Thursday that the highly-anticipated open-world sandbox game The Saboteur was available for mobile phones too. The title was initially launched on consoles and PCs from Electronic Arts, and now it is available for download around the world from mobile phone carriers and application stores through distribution with I-play.

According to the company, the new game title has been inspired by the true story of Sean Devlin, a race car driver. To make things even more interesting, Hands-On Mobile announced that the mobile game was tied to the console version via parallel characters and story lines, something that results in an enhanced experience on multiple platforms.

Some of the main features of The Saboteur include: - Hand-to-Hand Combat System: Allows players to effectively fight two or three Nazis at the same time with intuitive controls. - Line of Sight: Peak around corners to reveal enemies that are unseen until they are in your line of sight, without being detected by them. Then, sneak up behind enemies for silent kills. - Enhanced Stealth Mode: The heart meter tells if an enemy is nearby before the main character sees him. Then the footstep system briefly shows where an enemy went after he leaves the line of sight.

The Saboteur includes a revenge story set in the 1940's occupied France. Sean is trapped behind enemy lines, and he starts to get even with the Nazis who destroyed everything he cared about. He receives help from the French Resistance and the British intelligence, has an arsenal of weaponry at his disposal, and the game offers players the possibility to punish those who try to destroy his life. Explosions, stealth, hand-to-hand combat and firearms are all there to make the play experience an enhanced one.

“We’ve worked closely with EA on the mobile version of The Saboteur to create tie-ins to the console game including easter eggs,” Lynn Monica, VP & GM of Mobile Games, Hands-On Mobile commented. “Players accomplish specific tasks in the mobile game to uncover valuable gameplay tips, which can be used to give players an upper hand in the console and PC versions.”
