Do you remember the ten year old kid professional Halo gamer? We recently found out about someone within Bungie's Sci-Fi universe that's even more impressive with his skills and dedication. In August of 2005, Cody Miller managed to take on Halo on Legendary difficulty and best the game in 3 1/2 hours. Yes, I do mean to imply he finished the game on the highest difficulty setting within a couple of hours, without dying even once, while others required nightmarish weeks of trial and error endeavors. We knew he was good, but didn't quite grasp the lengths of his ability until this surfaced: Cody Miller entered the Guinness Book of World Records with his mind crushing success.

Here are the main pointers as Cody explains them better: "Find the location of every Jackal sniper, and figure out how to either circumvent, or easily neutralize them. I thought these guys would be the biggest problem in completing the bounty, but most of them can be skipped easily and taken out of the equation. There are some you have to fight, but I've developed strategies for making them as easy as possible to kill safely.

Don't play too passively. It's a good idea to be somewhat aggressive, but not reckless. If you play passively, you'll get stuck, cornered, and die. For instance, playing hide and seek in the second pelican bay will only get you killed when the dual wielding spec ops elites cut you off on both sides of the barrier in the middle. Always have an out. It's always easier to skip enemies than to fight. A shortcut might be tough, but it's better than risking death. Practicing a shortcut is easy, what you have to do doesn't change. The AI however, is unpredictable. I'd always put my money on what's certain. "

Less than two weeks ago Cody reported a new record going down, yet this time with the help of a full team of skilled gamers as himself. Over at Highspeed Halo, they've just gotten Halo 2 to less than two hours in Legendary single player. The total time so far is 1 hour 58 minutes 55 seconds and at this pace, the Guinness Book will be swarming with new gaming records in no time.
