Robot Entertainment, the company which is made up of veterans of the now defunct Ensemble Studios and handles support work for Halo Wars, has announced that it intends to release a new patch for the game, offering some balance changes, most of them suggested by players and a slew of bug fixes. Title Update 3 has no clear release date but expect to see it deployed before the end of July.

The new patch is set to eliminate most of the problems that players have been experiencing with the set up for System Link multiplayer games, enabling more of them to go up against another human player.

The problem with health bars showing up with units set to be invisible has been eliminated and players will no longer be able to exploit a bug with the Covenant Shield Generator. Area selecting is also no longer usable as a way to sort of scout out the enemy base.

As far as balancing goes, the third Title Update for Halo Wars will Warthog damage reduced against heavy armor, while the build time of the whole unit will now be 25 seconds due to its usefulness. Turrets have also been beefed up in both the damage and hit point sections to make rushing less powerful while the damage that medium-sized vehicles take when hit by grenades has been increased by 25%. Changes have also been made to the Recycling process, which now gets points for the opposing player.

Halo Wars is a real time strategy title set in the universe of Master Chief, which allows gamers to play as the Covenant or the United Nations Space Command as they face off against each other before the arrival of the Flood. The title had enough appeal to gamers, even if it was released exclusively for the Xbox 360, for it to receive continued support, both in the form of DLC and Title Updates.
