The development at 343 Industries announces that it is currently working on a new patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is set to be offered before the end of the week and will be focused specifically on improving the experience associated with matchmaking and game flow.

The official announcement states, "This particular update is on track for delivery this week. We will provide more details on the exact ETA, included fixes, and additional upcoming content updates in the near future. Please stay tuned to this thread for more details."

Matchmaking is the biggest problem for Halo: The Master Chief Collection at the moment, and two patches have already targeted the problem without managing to fix it for all members of the community.

Previously, the development team also assured gamers that development and testing of improvements for its most recent release did not slow down because of Thanksgiving or the weekend.

The community of players has been pressuring 343 Industries to move as quickly as possible to make Halo: The Master Chief Collection playable and to then deliver some sort of extra content as a thank you for those who have continued to play the title since it was first introduced.

At the moment, gamers who do not find a match in five minutes are advised to cancel their attempt and try again, preferably using a new mode.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was an ambitious remake

Microsoft wants to make sure that all fans of the Halo franchise can experience the core games in the franchise on the Xbox One, and that's why it has chosen to first deliver The Master Chief Collection before focusing on the Guardians title that will be offered in 2015.

343 Industries has explained that remaking all the four titles in the series was a complex process, and the fact that multiplayer is offered in two versions also means that some features were impossible to thoroughly test before launch.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection needs to receive more improvements in order to live up to its potential.

Those who have bought the package can now also watch the Halo Nightfall live-action series, which was created under the supervision of Ridley Scott and is designed to introduce a new character called Agent Locke.

Halo 5: Guardians will get a beta based around multiplayer modes and maps on December 29, which is designed to run for a three-week period.
