The leader of 343 Industries, which is now in charge of the well known Halo franchise, has said that he believes the developers will never create a boring game for it and that players will never abandon the series.

Frank O'Connor, who has previously worked with Bungie on Halo, has said that gamers are smart enough to only get bored when the products they are offered do not measure up to their standards and themselves become boring.

Speaking to Ausgamers the leader of 343 Industries has talked about how the very successful Mario series has seen close to 100 releases and has not led players to abandon the character and the mechanics.

The developer said, “We always plan to make sure that we’re innovating and that we’re putting fresh story in and that we’re putting something new in there and that’s how you avoid franchise fatigue. I think if you start making boring stuff, people are going to get bored and that’s what you have to avoid.”

The developers at 343 Industries are always ready to give their all to each new project and never take their success for granted.

He added, “We work really hard and do everything we can to make sure that quality comes first. Our primary goal is to continue to make great games. The fact that they’re all in one franchise just makes some things easier and some things more difficult.”

O'Connor also talked about the relation between 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft, saying that they are never interfering in the development process and that they are always interested in doing what is best for the game universe.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, a remake, will be launched for the Xbox 360 in November of this year while a full fledged sequel, Halo 4, is being planned for the end of next year.
