Developer 343 Industries, publisher Microsoft and their partners at Mattel and BOOMco are bringing a range of new toys associated with the Halo series to the Toy Fair in New York City, and the new designs might offer clues about the future of the franchise.

There are a range of new items associated with the franchise that will be offered to gamers, with cool models standing alongside blasters, statues of Master Chief, and other fan favorites.

The official Xbox Wire announcement quotes James Monosmith, the marketing manager for Halo consumer products at 343 Industries, as saying that "It’s one of the first time we’re bringing the Halo world to life with authentic blasters. You’ll be able to have that Halo experience in the real world."

Each of the weapons offered for sale are designed to mimic the main features of the arsenal seen in the Halo universe, and gamers can pick up the Covenant Needler, the Carbine Blaster and the UNSC Magnum.

The MEGA Bloks line offers access to a new collection based on Halo 5: Guardians, which will include a Promethean Phaeton Gunship and the UNSC Scorpion Tank.

Monosmith promises that other secret toys are at the moment in development.

McFarlane Toys is introducing both Halo 4: Spartan Ops figures and a new take on Master Chief based on his appearance in the new game in the series.

Members of the official Halo forums are already debating whether the toys are offering any clues about the story that will be featured in the coming Guardians experience.

Halo 5 is the biggest launch of the year on the Xbox One

343 Industries and Microsoft have run a major three-week-long testing phase for Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One, trying to familiarize the community with the new mechanics coming to the multiplayer modes and to test the infrastructure.

Now the developers are focused on making changes based on the data they have gathered and on the feedback offered by gamers.

They have already announced they will allow players to turn off all Spartan abilities in the custom game modes that will be included in Halo 5.

There are also big changes made to matchmaking, weapon balance and the way CSR works.

Halo 5: Guardians does not yet have an official launch window, but some fans are speculating that Microsoft is preparing a surprise launch on August 8.
