They're going for more

The Russians are leading the way when it comes to evil hacking! It has been all over the news lately - not only are attacks becoming more dangerous, but now, hackers are after more than just the web. It has been proved that nothing's 100% secure and that there is nothing they can't hack if they try it hard enough. That recent video by the DHS that showed how a hacker could use his skills to destroy an industrial fan was a reason of panic. They're going out of their way to use the cyber-world to damage real life objects.

And, here's another fact "from Russia with love" - as seen on EnglishRussia, even Points of Sale are being hacked by malicious users. They even have proof of this, just click on the link to view the hacked machine. The screen read "Defa?ed by haLfmEr". So, its pretty serious - this is a sort of new age of hacking, I suppose. When hackers first gained enough knowledge and power to meddle with computers, their attacks were nothing more than "Ha! You got owned! I rule!"; but later on, they've let themselves go with the flow and now they're after the money.

This just makes me think that things are starting all over again, but this time, it's not just computers, it's machines controlled by computers. So, as you see, now the PoS only displays a message - this is a great thing for the hacker to brag about. How long before they see the profits they could gain out of such actions? Or have they got the basic idea already?

So, this is what Russian hackers are up to now. And let me tell you that Russia's malicious users rank high in the chart of the most evil hackers. Cyber-crime is getting more and more dangerous, and what's even worse is that new methods pop up every month, if not every week!
