14 DAY TRIAL // The official Twitter account of MTV Asia was taken over for a short period of time on Tuesday by hackers from Team Intricate. MTV Asia has confirmed the breach on its Facebook page.
“Hi guys, our official Twitter account has been hacked. Please disregard all communications from the account until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Watch this space for all official MTV Asia announcements,” representatives wrote.
The next day, they posted another announcement that read, “Hello folks! Our Twitter is back in action!”
Cyber War News obtained some screenshots of the account while it was controlled by the hackers.
Apparently, they tried to obtained Paris Hilton’s and Lady Gaga’s phone numbers.
“@ParisHilton I have something you may be interested in! please DM me your phone number!” read one of the tweets.
“@ladygaga I have something to ask you. Please DM me your phone number,” read another one.
