He hasn't been indicted yet, but his lawyer says they're preparing for a legal fight

Deric Lostutter, known as KYAnonymous, the hacker involved in outing the members of the Steubenville football team accused of abusing a young girl, has raised over $50,000 (€37,000) for his legal defense.

Lostutter has not been indicted yet, but after the FBI raided his house back in April, he is certain that charges – possibly of aggravated identity theft, computer crimes, and conspiracy – will be brought against him.

His lawyer, Jason Flores-Williams of the Whistleblower Defense League, has told The Huffington Post that they would be happy to refund all those who have contributed to Lostutter’s legal defense in case the government doesn’t press any charges.

“Unfortunately, our indications are that that isn't going to happen, so we are preparing for a vigorous fight,” Flores-Williams said.

Many started supporting the hacker after learning that he could get more years in jail than the Steubenville High School football players he gathered evidence against.

However, Lostutter clarifies that he didn’t actually hack to obtain the evidence. He claims that someone else hacked the football team’s website.
