It looks like HTC's Wildfire S Android smartphone is close to making its debut at Bell. The phone has just been listed as available for pre-order by Canadian retailer Baka Wireless, which states that the estimated release date is June 1st

Customers interested to purchase this entry-level smartphone must pay $249.95 to acquire the phone without a plan.

However, the retailer suggests that the price may vary depending on the activation, term, plan and features selected, so Bell might offer the device for a lower price.

Rumors about the possible launch of the HTC Wildfire S via Bell Canada emerged several weeks ago, but no details about the exact release date were revealed at that time.

Although the phone is equipped with a low 600 MHz processor, users should expect to receive the device with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Even though it is a low-budget handset, the Wildfire S comes with a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 262K colors support and 320 x 480 pixels resolution.

The phone's display is protected against scratches and accidental drops by resistant Gorilla glass and sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash.

The HTC Sense user-friendly interface runs on top of Android 2.3 and provides users with a wide range of customization options, along with maximum functionality offered by Google's mobile platform.

The HSDPA-enabled entry-level smartphone comes with integrated GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Packed with Google's full suite of apps, HTC Wildfire S allows users to access services such as Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk.

HTC Wildfire S will be delivered with several Bell services, such as: Live TV & Radio, Remote PVR, GPS Navigator, Self Serve and Tunes & Apps.
