n Thursday, Verizon Wireless has made available for purchase on its airwaves its very first Android-based device that sports 4G LTE-capabilities, the HTC ThunderBolt.

Available for purchase with a price tag of $249.99 attached to it upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement, the new device can be seen on Verizon's website here.

The new device can be seen in two new videos that were just published on the Internet, and which were embedded at the bottom of this article.

The first of them is a video advertisement for the device, built in the same manner as many other ads for HTC's devices were designed before it.

Those of you who might have seen other commercials HTC included in its “You” campaign would certainly enjoy the promotional video.

As for the second clip below, it is mainly meant to present to us the team behind the device, along with the smartphone itself, and with some of its features.

“You live in the future. Here’s an idea: a phone that’s right there with you. It’s got lightning–fast Verizon 4GLTE and a next–generation processor so you can do more with your phone, in more places,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

“It even boots in seconds so you never have to wait. You might find your computer gathering dust,” the carrier continues.

The new ThunderBolt by HTC sports a 1GHz application processor inside, a 4.3" capacitive touch screen display (480 x 800 WVGA resolution), an 8.0 MP rear camera with auto focus, dual LED Flash and HD video recording capabilities, and 1.3 MP front camera.

The specs list of this phone would include 768 MB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, 32GB MicroSD card included, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm Audio Jack, GPS receiver, and a battery that can offer up to 378 minutes of talk time, or up to 330 hours of standby time.

Moreover, the new smartphone runs under Android 2.2 with HTC Sense 2.0 on top, offers fast internet browsing, enhanced multimedia capabilities, and support for various Google Services, as well as for applications available for download via the Android Market.
