Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has been long rumored to be on its way to come to the market with a handset that will sport WiMAX connectivity, and the latest reports around the web converged towards the same idea, namely that this phone will be the HTC Supersonic. The best part of all is that the said device is also expected to arrive with Google's Android operating system on board, and now a rendering of the device made it into the wild.

Some of the specifications that HTC Supersonic will arrive on the market with have been already unveiled to the world, one might remember already that it was said to include a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, and a Snapdragon processor inside. Beside the WiMAX connectivity and probably other features and services that the Android OS will put on it, it seems that the HTC Supersonic might also arrive with FM radio on board.

The photos available now with the phone are not of the highest quality possible, but they show us what it might actually look like. Provided that the photos are real, that is, for we encountered some fake ones with HTC's devices during the past few days, it seems. One of them was of the HTC Obsession, said to be the first Windows Mobile 7 device from HTC, while the other was an alleged screen shot with Supersonic's phone info, showing an Android 3.0 firmware on board.

Be this the HTC Supersonic, then users should expect it to come with enhanced video playback capabilities, as the presence of a kickstand on its back suggests (FLO TV capabilities might also be there), and a 5-megapixel photo snapper, according to the reports. At base, the Supersonic is said to be similar with the already popular HTC HD2 phone, but a great deal of new capabilities are also expected to be there, starting with the Android OS instead of Microsoft's Windows Mobile. Have a look at the photos that emerged via AndroidMobileOS and stay tuned for additional details on this.
