Unveiled yesterday during a launch event in London, HTC Sensation XL has already been confirmed in the UK by Three.

However, the carrier did not mention any release date for the smartphone, instead stated that the Sensation XL will soon be available for purchase.

Android enthusiasts who want to get their hands on the latest HTC smartphone can order the device from Clove UK.

The retailer already listed the phone, which is priced at £486 (about $754 or 562 EUR). According to Clove, first HTC Sensation XL is expected to hit shelves on October 24.

HTC Sensation XL and Sensation XE are the first products to be delivered with Beats audio hardware and Beats headset.

As the name suggests, Sensation XL comes with a really large 4.7-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The smartphone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the latest HTC Sense 3.5 user interface on top.

Unlike Sensation XE that comes with a dual-core CPU, Sensation XL is equipped with a single core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 and an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.

The phone packs 16GB of internal memory and 768MB of RAM, but no microSD card slot for memory expansion.

In addition, the Sensation XL sports dual cameras: an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back with autofocus, dual-LED flash, and a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

According to HTC, the phone's 1600 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide up to 360 hours (460 hours for 3G mode) of standby time or up to 12 hours (7 hours for 3G mode) of talk time.

On related news, Clove UK also added the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro to its portfolio. The smartphone is now available for purchase for £306 (about $475 or 354 EUR).
