Unveiled back in September, HTC Rhyme is about to make its debut in India for Rs 24,800 ($500 or 365 EUR).

Flipkart, the retailer that brings all the latest mobile phones in India has already listed the HTC Rhyme for the price mentioned earlier.

However, it looks like the HTC Rhyme is now out of stock and no details on the next shipment have been disclosed yet.

HTC Rhyme is aimed at women and leaked in the wild several months ago as HTC Bliss. Fortunately, the phone comes with improved specs, in comparison with the hardware configuration that was rumored a while back.

The smartphone is delivered with a cube-shaped accessory called 'charm indicator' that notifies the user that he/she has just received a message or missed a call. The 'charm indicator' is usually attached to the phone with a cord.

All in all, the Rhyme is a mid-budget Android smartphone, which seems to be a bit overpriced in India. Perhaps the reason the phone is priced so high lies in the fact that it is sold with a few accessories in the sales package.

The phone is equipped with a 1 GHz single core processor and packs 4GB of internal memory, 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

HTC Rhyme is powered by Google's Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system with the latest HTC Sense 3.5 user interface on top. No info on a possible Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade yet.

The phone is HSDPA-enabled and offer a range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR support, as well as GPS with digital compass.

It comes with a decent 3.7-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as a high capacity 1600 mAh Li-Ion battery.
