14 DAY TRIAL // Verizon Wireless has just started to offer the women-centric HTC Rhyme smartphone along with its three dedicated accessories.
The handset can be purchased for a suggested retail price of $439.99 (about 327 EUR), or $199.99 (roughly 147 EUR) with a new two-year agreement and a data pack.
However, it appears that Target, which is the exclusive third-party retailer for the HTC Rhyme is offering the smartphone for only $149.99 (about 111 EUR).
According to the guys over at Phandroid, the exclusive offer will run through October 8 and is only available for the HTC Rhyme smartphone.
Previously known as HTC Bliss, the Rhyme is delivered with three special accessories: some Tangle–Free Headphones, a multifunctional Docking Station, and a Charm Call Indicator.
While the unique headphones will remain untangled, even in harsh conditions and despite the jostling one can put them through, the multifunctional Docking Station can be used as a charger, an alarm clock, and external speakers.
Still, the most interesting accessory is the Charm Call Indicator that illuminates whenever the user gets a call or text.
HTC Rhyme is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread platform and comes with the latest HTC 3.5 user interface layered on top of the operating system.
Furthermore, the smartphone is equipped with 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and and Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.
The device embeds 4GB of internal memory, 768MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).
The 3.7-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen display supports 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
HTC Rhyme offers users the full range of connectivity options, including HSDPA and HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Wi-Fi hotspot function, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR support, and built-in GPS receiver.
According to Verizon, the phone's 1600 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide up to 410 hours of standby time or up to 7 hours and 20 minutes of talk time.
