Heading for Verizon

One of the HTC mobile phones that are expected to hit more than one wireless carrier in the United States is the HTC Snap, which has been already spotted on its way to Sprint as the HTC Willow, and which now pops up into the wild on its way to Verizon's airwaves under the name of HTC Ozone. And while Willow is reported to come to the market as soon as this Sunday, June 7, no word on the availability date of the HTC Ozone has surfaced to the web until now.

It seems that the HTC Snap will actually make it onto the shelves under a nice series of monikers, including the Snap, Cedar and the aforementioned Willow and Ozone. Unfortunately, Verizon is expected to release its version of the mobile phone later than Sprint, but it will make it available dressed up a little differently than the variant that will go to its fellow carrier.

And while the Sprint model has been unboxed already and will reach stores one day after the highly anticipated Pre makes its appearance, the HTC Ozone heading towards Big Red has only been caught in a single shot, though it still allows us to take a good look at what the device will look like upon hitting the market. According to BGR, it should be launched sometime in the following weeks, so it shouldn't be too long before more details become available.

As for the functionality of the handset, it should come with Wi-Fi connectivity, visual voicemail, VZ navigator, and it should also be a world phone. In addition, given the fact that it runs under the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system, the HTC Ozone will also sport Internet Explorer 6 mobile and support for Microsoft My Phone, though other related features should also be included in the package. There are no details on the price it will feature with Verizon, but stay tuned to learn more on this.
