14 DAY TRIAL // Unveiled last week at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, HTC One X and One S are now up for pre-order in the UK.
However, the Taiwanese handset manufacturer announced that all three smartphones, HTC One X, One V and One S will be available on the market starting April 2012.
Today, UK-based retailer Mobiles.co.uk added the HTC One X and One S to its portfolio and is now taking pre-orders. Both smartphones are offered for free on select plans via Orange UK.
HTC One X can be grabbed for free on at least £31 per month 2-year contract, which offers subscribers 400 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data.
The retailer offers the HTC One S for free as well, but customers would need to commit to a new 24-month plan for at least £26 tariff. This contract will net subscribers 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of mobile data.
The One X is HTC’s first quad-core Android smartphone and packs an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. In addition, the smartphone sports 32GB (26GB user available) of internal memory, and 1GB of RAM, but no microSD card slot for memory expansion.
There’s also an impressive 8-megapixel rear photo snapper, which features autofocus, LED flash and simultaneous HD video and image recording, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.
The handset comes with a stunning 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
HTC One S features a slightly smaller 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass for protection against scratches and scrapes.
The One S is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and packs 16GB of internal memory, and 1GB of RAM, but lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
Both smartphones run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and the latest HTC Sense 4.0 UI on top.
