We’ve got word that HTC One X has already landed in the UK, so most carriers and authorized retailers have it in stock now, or are about to get it within the next few days.

The bad news is that HTC has banned everyone in the country to start selling the device until April 4, the folks over at Eurodroid claim.

If the information is accurate, Android enthusiasts living in the UK won’t be able to purchase the HTC One X until next week, when almost all major carriers and retailers launch the device.

At least one of these authorized retailers is now taking pre-orders for the HTC One X, Unlocked-Mobiles. Those who are willing to pay for the no-term price of the One X will have to come up with no less than £497 (US$795 or €595).

According to the retailer, the HTC One X is now in stock and will be shipping on April 4, so customers might receive it the next day, depending on the location.

The One X is HTC’s new Android flagship smartphone and comes with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz.

The smartphone packs 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, but lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion. However, users will be able to store their media files and photos in the cloud, as HTC and Dropbox offer 25GB of free storage.

Another strong point of the One X is the enhanced 8-megapixel main camera which features HTC’s new ImageSense technology. The rear photo snapper comes with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well.

There’s also a huge 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Last but not least, HTC One X will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, as well HTC Sense 4.0 UI.
