The Android-based handset packs great multimedia features

Canadian mobile phone maker TELUS has made available for purchase on its network a new device capable of providing users with 4G data transfer speeds, the HTC One S.

The new mobile phone is available for purchase today for $99.99 (79 Euro) with the signing of a three-year contract agreement, but users can choose to commit to shorter agreements as well.

On a 2-year contract, the new device will cost $469.99 (370 Euro), while going up to $519.99 (410 Euro) on one-year contracts.

Users who don’t want to commit to a monthly deal at TELUS can purchase the phone up front for $569.99 (450 Euro).

HTC One S arrives on shelves with a slim body, while capable of delivering increased performance capabilities, courtesy of its 1.5GHz dual-core application processor.

Moreover, the smartphone can easily prove a great multimedia tool, thatx to its 4.3" qHD AMOLED 540 x 960 pixel touchscreen, Beats Audio technology and an amazing no-shutter-lag camera.

According to TELUS, some of the main features of the new device include:

- Shoot like pro and snap still shots while recording an HD video with the powerful Instant Capture camera, featuring low light settings, no shutter lag and Burst Mode at 4 shots per second.

- Post your pics and automatically back them up on 25GB of free Dropbox space

- Enjoy a superior Beats AudioTM experience while listening to music, playing an immersive game, or streaming video.

- Multi-task and browse rich content smoothly on the new HTC Sense 4 UI powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a 1.5GHz dual core processor.

- Access over 450,000 free and paid apps from Google Play to personalize your phone with games, ebooks, news, and more.

HTC One S packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with 1080p HD video recording, auto focus, and smart LED Flash, as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video calling.

Moreover, it includes 16GB of internal memory, and a 1650 mAh Lithium-ion battery that can deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 530 hours of standby time.
