The elusive HTC One is likely to hit shelves in Australia at the end of April. The smartphone will be available at multiple major carriers in the country around the same timeframe.

Telstra customers will be glad to know that HTC One is expected to arrive at the carrier on April 23, AusDroid reports.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any info on the phone’s availability at other mobile operators in Australia, but we suspect that more details will emerge in the coming weeks.

However, if Telstra launches the HTC One on April 23, we can safely assume that other carriers in the country will release the smartphone around the same time.

For the time being, no pricing options have been set, so there’s no telling how much HTC One will cost. Obviously, Telstra customers will be able to grab it for free on select plans, but no additional details on the value of these plans have been revealed yet.

HTC One has been delayed in Europe by 1-2 weeks and is now expected to hit shelves at the end of this week or in early April.

Initially, the smartphone will be launched in the UK and a few other European countries. HTC One will land in the United States in late April, probably around the same time as the Australian release.

The flagship handset will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, integrated with HTC Sense UI 5.

According to HTC, an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean upgrade for HTC One will be available for download at some point this year.

On the inside, the device packs a powerful 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

HTC One boasts an innovative 4-UltraPixel rear photo snapper, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. The phone also sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD3 full HD (1080p) display.
