HTC has already launched quite a few One series handsets in the last couple of weeks. After releasing its HTC One M9 flagship smartphone, the Taiwanese company introduced several variants of the device.

The availability of these variants vary by region, so depending on location you might or might not be available to the get the One M9+ or One E9 for example.

The same goes for the newly leaked HTC One ME9, which appeared for the first time earlier this month. The One ME9 has been spotted once again, but this time in India.

According to @upleaks, the device will be released in India and other Asian countries like Hong Kong and Taiwan, but it will definitely not be available in EMEA and North American markets.

HTC One ME9 is supposed to be a cheaper version of the One M9, which is why it will feature a plastic unibody instead of the premium aluminum finish.

Quad HD display and 64-bit octa-core processor

On the positive side, the One ME9 has been beefed up when it comes to specs. The high-end smartphone is equipped with a 2.2GHz octa-core Media-Tek MT6795 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

Moreover, HTC One ME9 will boast a stunning 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

On the back, the device will pack an impressive 20-megapixel camera that features the Toshiba T4KA7 sensor, autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there will be a 4-UltraPixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Other highlights of the HTC One ME9 include BoomSound technology, Bluetooth 4.1 support, and fingerprint scanner. The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7.0 on top.

The One ME9 is expected to arrive in India in the third week of June and it will go on sale in Gold Sepia, Classic Rose Gold and Meteor Gray for about Rs 35,000 ($550 / €480), a new report claims.
