Starting today, mobile phone users in Australia can purchase the brand new HTC One (M8) smartphone, as it has landed on shelves at three of the company’s major wireless carriers.

The phone was officially confirmed for Australia last week, shortly after HTC made it official, and it is now up for grabs through Optus, Telstra and Vodafone in the country.

All three wireless carriers have already added the new mobile phone to their online stores, and those of you looking to grab it can head there for that.

At Optus, the HTC One (M8) is available with $23 (€15.47) per month handset repayments on the carrier’s $35 (€23.54) My Plan, which includes 200 minutes, 200MB of data, and unlimited texts (a minimum total cost of $1,392/€936 over 24 months).

However, other pricing options are also available for Optus’ customers, all of which are listed on this page on the wireless carrier’s website.

Telstra has added the HTC One (M8) to its lineup with a price tag starting at $81 (€54.47) per month, offering 500MB of data, $550 (€370) worth of minutes, and unlimited texts.

As for Vodafone, it is asking $70 (€47) per month for the device, which includes $10 (€7) handset repayments on the $60 (€40) plan, with a minimum total cost of $1,680 (€1,130) over 24 months.

HTC’s new flagship device comes to the market with the same looks as the HTC One had last year, but sports enhanced hardware capabilities, aimed at appealing more to end users out there.

Thus, the phone hits shelves with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, while being powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM.

HTC One (M8) was also announced with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot that offers support for up to 128GB of external storage.

On the back, the phone features a twin-sensor UltraPixel camera, which is complemented by a 5MP camera on the front, great for both video calling and taking selfies.

The specifications list for this device also includes 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and built-in GPS receiver. Moreover, the phone is powered by a 2600mAh battery that can deliver up to 22 hours of talk time.

In addition to packing an all-metal body, the same as the HTC One did last year, the new smartphone comes with HTC BoomSound technology, with two front speakers capable of delivering a great audio experience.

HTC One (M8) runs under Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but sports HTC’s own Sense 6.0 user interface loaded on top, which brings forth a wide range of exclusive features and applications, including HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, and more.
