HTC One M8, the latest flagship Android-based device coming from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC, might arrive in stores at Bell Canada later than originally expected, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

According to a leaked internal document that emerged over at MobileSyrup, the carrier has pushed the phone’s launch back to April 15, although it was initially expected to start selling it in stores as soon as tomorrow.

In fact, pre-sales of the smartphone kicked off in Canada about two weeks ago, with wireless carriers such as Rogers, Bell, Telus, Wind Mobile, and SaskTel already offering it to their users, though with the aforementioned launch date of April 10 attached.

The leaked document also unveils that inventory is expected to land in stores before the end of this week and that sales will begin as soon as that happens.

HTC One M8 is set to arrive in Canada with a price tag of $229.99 (€152) next to it, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement, regardless of the carrier that customers want to go with.

Those interested in grabbing the handset without the signing of such a deal will have to get $700 (€464) out of their pockets. With no official confirmation on the delayed release of HTC One M8, it remains to be seen whether the rumor will pan out or not.

For those out of the loop, we should note that HTC One M8 was made official with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor packed inside.

Moreover, the handset comes to the market with 2GB of RAM, as well as with 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes (a feature that was not available on last year’s HTC One).

Moreover, it sports twin cameras on the back, so as to deliver a better imaging experience when compared to its predecessor, along with a 5MP front camera for making video calls.

HTC One M8 was also unveiled with all the usual connectivity options packed inside, such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver. Moreover, the phone sports the entire range of common sensors inside.

HTC loaded the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system on the new flagship, but it also added its own Sense 6.0 users interface to the mix, with exclusive features and capabilities, such as Blinkfeed, Zoe, and others.
