Now that HTC unveiled its One M9 flagship smartphone, the company can focus on the marketing campaign for this device, while also on bringing new devices on the market.

These new smartphones have already been rumored for a few weeks now, but there were no details on when they might be officially introduced.

HTC One E9 and One M9 Plus made headlines a few times over the last couple of weeks, but now we have more info that could shed some light on their upcoming release.

GSMDome reports that HTC has started to send invites to the media in China to an event that may last one week. HTC's event in China will begin on March 11 and is supposed to end on March 17.

Now this could mean that HTC could hold a conference during this period, where at least two smartphones will be presented and showcased: One E9 and One M9 Plus.

The invitations sent by HTC China come as metal plates in the form of smartphones, which is another indication that the Taiwanese company plans to reveal new devices during this one-week event.

HTC One E9 and M9 Plus might feature similar specs with the exception of the display

The size of the plates also suggests the launch of a bigger smartphone than the One M9 announced at MWC 2015, which sports a 5-inch display.

Unfortunately, the invitation doesn't say too much about what devices HTC plans to launch next week in China, but given the fact that the latest rumors refer to One E9 and One M9 Plus, there's a high chance that these devices will be unveiled beginning March 11.

HTC One E9 is rumors to feature a 5.5-inch QHD display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 20-megapixel main camera. The smartphone is said to cost 3,000 ($480 / €445) yuan in China.

The second smartphone HTC may announce next week, the One M9 Plus, is said to sport a 5.2-inch QHD display and the same MediaTek MT6795 processor.

Last but not least, there's a chance that HTC might also announce a Chinese custom version of Sense 7 UI during the one-week conference. Stay tuned for more on this one.
